Sunday Highlights of September 1, 2019

 ANNOUNCEMENTS                                                     September 1, 2019

CHURCH CLEANUP: Praise God, the windows are installed. Thank you to all who helped with the clean-up of the Sanctuary after the windows were installed. The Sanctuary looks so bright and beautiful.

 

COMMUNION OFFERING: Today is Communion Sunday, and a special offering will be taken for Missions. Please place your donation in the plate as you come up to communion.

 

CHRISTIAN ED MINISTER: We would like to welcome Mr. Chang Yong Shin as our Christian Ed Minister. Mr. Shin is a graduate of Korean Methodist Theological University and now studying for a Master of Divinity at Drew Theological School. Chang Yong Shin will have an orientation with Youth and Children on Sunday, Sept. 8 during the service time, Youth and Children will go up to the second floor before the sermon; Sunday School will be resume on 3rd Sunday, Sept.15.

 

CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING will be held on Sept 8, after fellowship.

 

CONNECTION GROUP FELLOWSHIP: Beginning September the:

Connection Group Fellowship will be held on the 4th Sunday of each month.

 Connection Group Leaders Meeting will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month-

during fellowship time in the Conference Room on second floor.

 

9/11 INTERFAITH MEMORIAL SERVICE – Wed., Sept. 11, 2019 @ 6pm: Service will be held outside the Woodbridge Township Municipal Building at the 9/11 Memorial Park. This year’s will offer a special “Salute of Support” to our Woodbridge Township Police Officers, Firefighters, First Aid Squad and Emergency Management personnel.

 

BACKPACKS: If you would like to help with the Backpack Ministry for the children in need, please take a backpack and fill it with school supplies. Any questions, please see Debbie Fedowitz.

 

STREET FAIR: Saturday, Sept. 21, 10:00am we encourage the congregation to support our church at the annual Street Fair. It’s a fun day to help spread the word of God.

Donations needed: Water, juice boxes, snack bags of chips or cookies, Christian books and magazines. Monetary donations are also welcome. Any questions, see Debbie Fedowitz

 

CHURCH CONFERENCE: This year the Conference for Woodbridge UMC for the Gateway North District will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 8:45-10:30am at Morrow Memorial UMC, Maplewood.

 

UPGRADES TO CHURCH:  The replacement of windows is complete, but there are many other upgrades needed, the Sanctuary needs to be painted; and you can still help: As God speaks to your heart, if you have not filled out a pledge form and would like to do so – please fill out a pledge form for your donation and place it in the offering plate. (forms and envelopes are on front table)
